Steve Prymas

Steve Prymas is Chief Executive Officer of Tokio Marine Highland. Prymas joined Tokio Marine Highland in 2025 after serving as Chief Underwriting Officer at Hiscox U.S., where he was responsible for the company’s portfolio. His responsibilities included oversight of underwriting management, pricing, product management, analytics, general counsel, product counsel and underwriting excellence.

Prior to joining Hiscox, Prymas set strategic direction of underwriting, pricing, product and claims at Embroker as Chief Insurance Officer, successfully scaling the company’s digital platform and developing specialty insurance products for business verticals. Prymas also served as Vice President of Specialty Lines at Gen Re, and spent 17 years in roles of increasing responsibility at The Hartford, culminating in the position of Vice President, Head of Hartford Financial Products.

Prymas holds a B.A. from Hamilton College.
