Elissa Gydish

Elissa Gydish is a Senior Underwriter for Tokio Marine Highland’s Fine Art Division. She graduated with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree from Agnes Scott College in Art History and Business Economics, with the intention of developing a career that addressed the financial aspects of the art market. Elissa later graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans, simultaneously beginning her career in the gallery and auction house markets.

She entered into the insurance industry in 2000 as a Valuable Articles Specialist with Chubb, continuing a 13-year career with AXA Art Insurance before joining the Fine Art Division at Tokio Marine Highland in early 2022. Elissa has also held senior appraiser roles with both American Society of Appraisers and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
